I find it very ironic that an area that keeps telling the rest of the nation to conserve, has to have helicopters pull water from swimming pools because their water reservoirs are freaking dry.

That was incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. If that chopper had a sudden engine failure or clipped a tree. I'd be pissed to learn the school allowed my kid to spectate so close. Unlikely of course, but imagine what a snapped off rotor blade would do...

The D- prefix on that plane's registration notes that it is registered in Germany, which might mean a German crew flew out to assist with a fire in Portugal. Seeing international aid makes me happy.
